In the video, a monologue I wrote which influenced by New York immigrants as well as Zygmunt Bauman’s “Liquid Modernity” and “liquid Love”, was interpreted by a middle- aged man in Beijing. He migrated to Beijing in the 90s after his divorce and devoted himself to dancing. He goes to ballroom dance club everyday dancing with different people now.

This work explores the task of disembedding and re-embedding of an individual in the fast speed movement created by contemporary society.
