Reticular interruption and its private collection
2022

size variable
wire, mussel shell, paper, clip

A long strip of wire mesh, attached with mussel shells, hangs down. I imagine the eggs of the mussel will breed in it. Wire objects are scattered on the ground—they don’t move, select, or act. They simply exist as interruptions, allowing various things to pass through or stay. It’s a long wait, and when the capture becomes a wait, is the capture a capture or a natural fateful encounter? or a natural, fateful encounter? Together, we facilitated this consensual encounter or capture. It embodies desire, continuation, and the end of life, evoking the presence of flux.
